Abingdon Waterways Walk
This is a self-guided circular walk of about 8 miles: a beautifully-illustrated leaflet is available from the Visitor Information Centre, Museum and local bookshops or can be downloaded (in two parts) by clicking the pictures below. It includes lots of information about the places you pass on the way.
The route in the leaflet starts and finishes at Culham Lock, which gives visitors the best views of Abingdon – and a chance to visit the town en route; locals may prefer to start from the town centre, travelling via the Ock Valley Walk to the Ock Mill, then south to Drayton and Sutton Courtenay, returning to Abingdon via the Thames path. As a rough guide, the walk takes up to 4 hours plus stops, but there are several pubs for refreshments on the way.
